Your files in a flash or external hard drive turned into a shortcut? Yes, it is annoying. It can be caused by any of your friend's computer, a computer in the office, or on the internet, sometimes when we are confused about what to do, certainly we would immediately think to format it. BUT, do not wait for flash or format your hard drive, why? Because it will harm your own, especially if you forgot to back them up to another place. Now, therefore, I will give you tips to restore the files turned into shortcut.

1. Connect the Pen/Flash/External drive to your computer
2. Go to 'My Computer' and check pen / flash / external drive which you use, probably in F: or G: and other. Let's assume it in G:\
3. Open CMD (Command Prompt), by you can if you want a faster way you can press 'Windows button + R'
   
    or by using “Start” –>”Run”–> type cmd and hit OK
   
4. Type the following command and hit “Enter”
   attrib -H -R -S /S /D G:\*.*

Well after you restore your data, be - careful next time when inserting a flash / pen / external drive to your friend's computer, then when you want to download something from the internet. In that case, you also need Antivirus, although I myself have never experienced it.
