The Phenomenon of Surface Tension and Capillarity Symptoms
Some of you might have seen a needle floating on water. Or
never seen any mosquitoes or other insects can stand on water. This
phenomenon is closely related to the explanation of surface tension which will
be discussed in this section. Then, we also may have come up with events
in the form of ground water seeping up on the wall so that the wall becomes
wet. This incident in physics known as capillarity events. Okay! Now,
we get into the discussion.
Surface Tension
Let us observe that we make a needle floating on the
water surface as objects that undergo surface tension. Surface tension is
caused by the interaction of the molecules of liquid water on the surface of
the liquid. In the fluid inside a molecule surrounded by other molecules
around it, but no liquid on the surface of other molecules at the top of the
liquid molecules. This leads to an interesting molecular restoring force
when the molecule was lifted away from the surface, by which molecules at the
bottom surface of the liquid. Conversely, if the molecules on the surface
of the liquid is pressed, in this case given the needle, the bottom surface of
the molecular restoring force that will give him up, so that the upward
restoring force can sustain a needle fixed on the surface of the water without
sinking. In addition, because the needle gives field press (preassure) is
greater then the resulting pressure will be smaller, and the distribution of
the weight of the needle can be more evenly distributed.
![]() |
| Surface tension of molecular interactions seen objects and liquids |
Upward force to prop up the needle so as not to drown is
the surface tension coefficient multiplication with twice the length of the
needle. The length of the needle here is the surface in contact with the
liquid. The force required to lift the needle is the upward force
of gravity add up needle (mg). Essentially, an upward force (Archimedes
force) which is owned by the liquid must be greater than the weight of the
object style. In addition, the density of the liquid molecules can also
affect the surface tension. Because the greater liquid density, the
greater the upward force that it provides.
Capillarity
![]() |
| Water causes capillary concave meniscus events |
Capillarity caused by the interaction of the molecules in
the liquid. In the liquid molecules can be subjected to forces of adhesion
and cohesion.Style cohesion is the attraction between molecules in a liquid,
while the adhesion force is the attraction between molecules with other
molecules that are not similar, the container in which the ingredients are
liquid. If greater adhesion than cohesion as in the water with the surface
of the glass, the water will interact strongly with the surface of the glass so
that the water wets the glass and also above the liquid surface will be curved
(concave). This situation can cause the fluid to rise to the top by the
surface tension upward direction until the limit upward force to balance
gravity fluid is reached (resultant force on the y-axis = 0).So the water can
rise up in a small pipe commonly called a capillary tube. This is what happens
when water rises from the ground up through the wall.
![]() |
| Water can seep up through the wall cracks so it wets the wall is one example of capillarity symptoms |
Symptoms of this nature allows us to calculate the
capillary rise of water high in a cylindrical capillary pipe / tube with radius
r. The smaller the radius of the cylinder / tube, the higher the water to
rise in the cylinder.
There are several examples of capillarity symptoms that
occur in their daily lives, including:
1. The spread of water dripping on the tip of the
fabric
2. Kerosene wick stoves ride through
3. Rising water through xylem vessels / timber in
plants
4. Penetrated water to the top of the wall
5. The ink spreads on the paper surface
There are several things that can affect the capillarity
symptoms, including:
1. Value of the density of objects
2. Value of acceleration due to gravity
3. Effect of Adhesion and Cohesion
4. The radius of the capillary
5. Viscosity (Viscosity Substance)
Thank you for reading this review. Hopefully these
reviews can provide knowledge to the readers. And hopefully we can improve
and expand our horizons in the field of science, especially physics. Viva Scientifica!!!

How To Get A Pleasant And Safe Flight With Airplane
![]() |
| Travelling by airplane |
And now, I'll give all reader some tips for get a pleasant and safe flight from my knowledge and my observation from couple of air crash around the world. As we know, air crashes or airplane incidents have taken many of victims and given bad memories to survivors. So, I want to share positive things to all readers about the importance of aircraft safety. Let's go to the topic.
1. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM AIR CREW AND READ FLIGHT SAFETY
INSTRUCTION CARD CAREFULLY.
By follow the instructions from air crew and read flight safety
instruction card carefully, we'll know about how to get out of the
airplane when it crash ; how to use oxygen mask ; how to find the
emergency door ; etc. This's one of the crucial things which we have to
do before the airplane take off, but many of passangers often ignore this
one. So, let's begin care about all information which gave by air crew
for our safety.

| Stewardess is giving safety instruction |

| Mini bag |
3. DON'T LOAD OUR NON-CABIN BAGGAGE (SUITCASE) WITH VALUABLES.
![]() |
| Charging the airplane luggage |
By not load our non-cabin baggage with
valuables, we'll be spared from loss of
goods, theft of goods, and damage to
goods. Some of baggage charging officer
in the airport can do harmful actions to our
suitcase or even they steal valuables inside
our suitcase while they were charging
the airplane baggage/luggage. So, it can
give many disadvantage to us as a
passengers. Even though, numbers of
airport around the world have made strict
regulations about safety of passenger
luggage, it couldn't guarentted about safety
of passenger luggage. But, we can load our clothes, our glassware(sealed by intense fabric), our
tools(for advanture, trekking, etc) inside the suitcase because they're not very important goods
and strong enough for banged by officer. Now, let's be aware about our luggage just for safety
about our luggage.
4. WEAR CLOTHES THAT FAIRLY THICK AND FRESH COLOURED.
If we wear fairly thick and fresh coloured clothes, we could be found easily by the rescue team
in the crash site and in the cabin, those clothes can protect us from impact when airplane crashed
and avoid us to get serious injury after crashed. And it also can give us warmth in the cabin
because airplane cabin temperature is cold enough for our body.
5. CHOOSE THE PERFECT SEAT FOR US (OPTIONAL)
We can select the best position for where will we seat if the airline allow us to do that. Based
on some reasearch from air crash investigator, we can see a picture that show percentage of chance
to survive from air crash based on seat position. In the front cabin, percentage of chance to survive
is 49%. Then, in the middle of cabin has percentage of chance to survive by 56%. And most safe,
in the rear of cabin is 69%. And the best position for seat in the cabin is in the aisle seat. Why?
Because if we were seating in the aisle seat when the aircraft crash, we can get out of the aircraft
more faster and easily than in the window seat (if we're still alive after crash or impact). And why
does the rear cabin seat give more chance to survive? Because the rear cabin has a possibility to
crushed smaller than the others. Moreover, in case of impact, this is the least part of experiencing
a severe than the others.
This is all of my posting, thank you for have read my posting. We hope there is no air crash or
incident which happen again in next time and I hope this posting can give positive things for this
blog readers.

Easy Way to Faster Computer's Boot
At this time, i will show you several ways to make your PC boot faster, because sometimes your PC boot takes too long time that makes you have to wait for several minutes. The way to make your PC boot faster is not many... (Windows)
- Disable the Startup
You can disable Startup by using
" run - 'msconfig' - startup " for windows 8, Windows 7 or lower
and
" taskmanager - startup " Windows 8
After you open the startup manager, now just disable some or maybe all of the startup system from a program, including your antivirus, why? Because sometimes Antivirus has the highest impact, but do not disable anything from your Video Card Driver or if you disable it, you'll get error. - Do Disk Defragmenter
Now, the second way is Defrag your disk, you can open it via search on Start Screen of Windows 8 or Search on the Startmenu on windows 7 or vista, i'll tell you for Windows XP Later. Then, after you open the disk defragmenter utility, you choose the Harddisk (Disk Partition) where you install the Operating System.
Now there are two more steps, but i'll not explain further.
- Clean up your files from virus
- Upgrade your CPU, RAM. This is the last steps but it'll cost very much (Not Really Recommended by me)

Easy Way to Change Language to English in Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop, a program for editing this picture is pretty much popular among the people. The program provides a variety of facilities for editing images, but Photoshop also has a weakness, namely in the field of language. This also happened to me, after a few hours of downloading it from the Internet, it turns out I downloaded Photoshop CS6 that does not provide English option at the time the program runs. But, do not worry, I have found a solution for the confusion when you want to change the language to English. This applies to the public, the following is a way that changing the language to English again ....
- When the installation is complete, open the Photoshop installation directory.
- For 64 bit OS, eg.
C:/ProgramFiles/Adobe/Photoshop CS6 (64 bit)/ for 64-bit version of Photoshop
C:/ProgramFiles(x86)/Adobe/Photoshop CS6/ for 32-bit version - For 32 bit OS, eg.
C:/ProgramFiles/Adobe/Photoshop CS6/......
Some Pics for you
OR
- Open Locales
- Open the Language Packs, example: 'da_DK' or 'da_GR', etc.
- Click Supported Files, after you open it, you'll fiind something like tw10428.dat and after you found it, change the file name into tw10428.bak.
- Restart the Photoshop, and you get your English Language
However, in addition to the English language, we should also be able to learn other languages, eg Russian, Indonesian or Chinese or any other country, because it would be beneficial for us, and may be useful in the future.

Tips on Buying Items in The Online Store Safely
and of course we can connect with anyone, anywhere. With the increase in technology, automatic other fields concerned with telecommunications will increase as well, one of them in the field of trade.
Okay at this time Nofrizal Dwiky Saputra as a handsome boy will post a post about "tips on buying items in the online store safely". May be useful ^ ^
- Find the desired goods.
In this case , we can look for the desired items through online stores such as Amazon , eBay , etc. .
- Find the vendor contact person.
Usually written in the data themselves sellers on the identity column in the online store .
- Make sure the item from a trusted source
Do not just buy items in an online store in just anyone . Ask for testimonials to the dealer and make sure the testimonial is true and not the origin.
- If it is suitable , BUY !
For the payment we can use the services of Paypal or by direct transfer through bank
- Keep in contact with the seller
Ask me stuff circumstances . Because who knows the seller forgot to send the goods , and therefore we must always ask how these items , ask has been sent or not ?
- Wait until home delivery
Normally delivery depending on distance and environmental conditions . If conditions do not allow to send the goods , usually the delivery will be delayed until conditions allow to send the goods.
- About delivery not to the extent.
As I said earlier , we should always ask the seller if the goods circumstances forget to send the goods. Well if the goods have been delivered but the goods never arrived also , we must ask how the goods to service delivery is concerned . We can call or go directly to the delivery service.
A few of my tips on how to buy items online safely. Once again I remind you
to be careful in purchasing goods online, because in this modern age of course, rampant crime, particularly scams. But, we also do not be afraid to shop online at online stores. Because shopping online is very fast and efficient although slightly vulnerable to scams. May be useful: D

How Good Is the Samsung Galaxy S5?
![]() |
| Samsung Galaxy S5 |
But first, let’s go back to 2012, when the Galaxy SIII was announced. It shocked the world, and started the rise of Samsung to be one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturers. SIII was arguably the best Galaxy Samsung has ever made. And then in 2013, Samsung put even more features to the S4. One thing, though, the innovation had already started to slow down (except for some features).
Now, the Galaxy S5 sports a new design. It’s not much different from the S4, though. It’s still plastic. It has a 5.1 inch screen—a little bump from the S4, with the same 1080p resolution. That could be a letdown, as the pixel per density is lower, even if it’s just a tiny bit. Then its processor is a quad-core clocked at 2.5 GHz with a RAM of 2 GB. But the processor may vary in different parts of the world just like the S4. It also comes with the latest Android release, 4.4.2 KitKat.
![]() |
| Comparison for all the Galaxies |
Other than that, Samsung also says that the battery life will be longer. Surfing up to 10 hours, watching videos up to 12 hours. When you’re out of juice (less than 10%), your S5 will turn into black-and-white mode and you will only be able to make calls and text messages. Samsung claims S5 can last up to 24 hours after its battery goes down to 10%.
So there’s that, some good new features that comes with a bit of disappointment. Compared to the S4, it’s not so much of a better phone, so I suggest S4 owners should not upgrade to the S5 unless you’re just pure rich. I think it will be the best smartphone by the time of its release. The Galaxy S5 comes out in April in many variants of color. Let’s just see how it will fare against the competition.
Aircraft Main Components And The Translation
Aircraft is the modern transportation system which provides people around the
world to travel from one place to another place in a short time and more comfortable than other transportation system in the world. Many of us have known about airplane or aircraft. But, we just enjoy travel by them or just know that they can fly. Actually, it's not as simple as like. So in this occasion, I wanna explain and explore about what consists the aircraft. Anyway, let's go to the topic.
![]() |
| Boeing 777 Assembly Line |
First, Aircraft fuselage or body. Aircraft body is the biggest and the most importance component on a aircraft. It's diveded into 3 sections, they're head section, middle section, and tail section. The head section is the section where weather radar, cockpit, and executive/first class cabin places. Next, the middle section is the section where main wings is tided and economy cabin places. The last, the tail section is the section where the horizontal and vertical wings is tided and the flight data recorder places. The Body of aircraft has to be aerodynimcs, floaty, and strong because the aircraft is faced by savage physisc air law and many types of wind such us storm, icy rain, and high compression from inside the aircraft cabin. So, the aircraft engineer keep to design the body for make sure the safety and the performance of the aircraft would be better time by time. Now, the engineer have discovered a new material that can be use to material of the new generation aircraft, which named carbon fiber.

| Kind Of The Most Used Engine In Aviation Industry |
Second, The Engine. The Engine is the machine is given the power or throttle for the aircraft to make it flying on the sky. Aircraft engine commonly build by jet engine expert company such as GE (General Electric), CFM International, Rolls-Royce, Pratt-Whitney, etc. The aircraft need 2 up to 6 engines to make it fly and amount of engine is depended by weight and size of the aircraft. The aircraft engine is equipped by propeller, turbine, air compressor, combustion chamber, and nozzle. The propeller has function as the director for make air flow into the engine. The turbine has function as booster of trust gas from the combustion chamber to the nozzle. The air compressor has function as compress the air rapidly and direct the air to combustion chamber. The combustion chamber has function as the place where air mixes with the fuel for make hot gases (thrust gas). And the nozzle has function as thrust gas exhaust system of the engine. There are 3 kind of the most used engine family in aviation industry now, they're turbofan, turboprop, and turbojet.
They have each characteristics and features based on the size, amount of force/throttle, and usage. The turbofan engine is used for many commercial aircraft and the most famous engine family in the whole world. Why? Because it has low sound radiation than other engine family especially the turbojet, and turbofan engine gives enough throttle to the aircraft, but the otherwise it has low fuel consumption and more efficient for operating. Even the turbofan engine has huge wind propeller which its diameter as long as human height, that's so incridible! The next type of aircraft engine is turbojet engine, which it has the strongest throttle than another engine had ever built. Why? Because it has more turbine and compressor which more efficient, and every proppeler, compressor, and turbine can reach rotating speed more than 15000 rpm. Meanwhile, turbofan engine commonly reach rotating speed up to 14000 rpm only. And it's used by jet fighter aircraft and supersconic aircraft because need for speed and reduce the flight time. The last type of aircraft engine is turboprop which use the out-engine propeller to pump the air from outside to inside the engine. Turboprop engine has the low power than turbofan and turbojet engine because the rotation speed of its propeller is limited, so it's usually used on mini aircraft, soldier carrier aircraft, sea patrol aircraft, etc.
The last main component of the aircraft is the wings. Wings is one of important component on the aircraft besides the engine, so engineer keep to design, test, and innovate the aircraft wings to get excellent result. In the aircraft, there are 3 kinds of wing and they're main wings (a pair of main wing), flying stabilizer (a pair of flying stabilizer), and vertical wing (only 1). The wings is equipped with flight controls which named ailerons, spoilers, trailing edge flaps, leading edge slats, rudder, and elevators. Ailerons, spoilers, trailing edge flaps, and leading edge slats are flight controls which assemblies in main wings of the aircraft. Meanwhile, rudder is assemblies in vertical wing and elevators is assemblies in flying stabilizer. They have each function in order to makes the aircraft can fly. Ailerons have function as the control aircraft movement about longitudinal axis (Horizontal Axis), so it means that the lateral (roll) control of the aircraft are influenced by ailerons. Then, spoilers have function as the airbrake of the aircraft on the air and on the ground (landing). Next, trailing edge flaps have function as the components which gives lift forces above the wings so that make the aircraft take off easily and altitude's descend is going well. And then, leading edge slats have function as the director for makes air flow up and down the main wings perfectly. Next, rudder has function as the control yawing moment of the aircraft (swing to right or left). The last, elevators have function as the lateral axis (pitch) control of the aircraft or as the control of vertical axis movement of the aircraft, it means that horizontal aircraft movement of the aircraft (the aircraft nose pitch up or pitch down) are influenced by elevators. And there's also new innovation from aerodynamic engineer which named winglet. The winglet has function as make the aircraft more stable on extreme situation such as thunder storm and crosswind. Winglet is also reduces the vortex attack on the wingtip of the aircraft.
| One of kind of winglet (Sharklet) |
So, this is all about 3 main components of the aircraft that I've known based on my aviation knowledge. Thank you for reading my article. I hope that my article about main components of the aircraft can give a lot of benefit to readers.

Fun Ways to Memorize
I'm tired. open my book.
many words. many terms. can all of unfamiliar words enter to my memory system....?
Not everyone is given the
good memory. As a student, certainly many things that have to remember, such
as lessons, assignments etc.. Don’t our brain is able to receive all of it? notably
memorize lessons.
